After a long career in the life insurance and superannuation industry I entered the world of sports administration.

I had been involved in the management of my children's basketball club and then association as the President of both organisations, so the transition to the role of CEO of Basketball Queensland enabled me to draw on both my management experience and my understanding of sports administration.

With approximately 30 years' experience in sports administration, 18 years of which as the CEO of Basketball Queensland, followed by two and half years as the General Manager of several basketball associations (Cairns. Ipswich and North Gold Coast Seahawks) I am well placed to provide advice in relation to all aspects of managing a State Sporting Organisation, sports club or association which includes:

 

• Financial management including budgeting,

• Strategic planning,

• Policy reviews, and update,

• Risk management planning, and

• Governance.
